Cupar is ideally placed to travel around Fife..
We mainly visited St Andrews as our great nephew was attending the university.
We dined in St Andrews for all our meals so we cannot say anything about dining in Cupar.
There seems to be plenty of choice when venturing around as to what and where to eat should suit many a healthy appetite.

This is a lovely location and Gillie is an excellent host.
This is a lovely location and Gillie is an excellent host. The rooms are all on the ground floor, lovely and very comfortable and overlooking the garden which is several hundred metres from the road down a private lane. This is a high standard b&b and the best accomodation I have stayed in when staying in the fife area.

Cupar is a historic town dating back to the 7th century..
Cupar is a historic town dating back to the 7th century.. An excellent and authentic example of Scottish tradition in particular around the area where Cupar Burgh Chambers is located. Visit the museum next to Cupar Station. Crossgate is it's main axial road and has everything you need. Fisher and Donaldson have two bakeries in the town - a small one in Crossgate and a tea room next to the large Tesco. Try their stovies, fudge doughnut or a marzipan fruit or Belgian biscuit but lot's more!! A wonderful base for exploring the beautiful Fife countryside with it's quaint villages and St Andrew's itself - get a bus and try some whiskies there!!" The Fife Folk Museum in the nearby village of Cerus is very interesting and has a tea room. The Deer Park a must go to venue with lots to do and see for all ages.

Cupar is a nice place. Friendly locals.
Cupar is a nice place. Friendly locals. Convenient for St Andrews and the East Neuk. I enjoyed my dinner at 'The Press' (venison and smoked Applewood lasagne) and lunch the next day at Fisher and Donaldson (stovies).

Cupar or Ladybank are both good for connecting trains.
Cupar or Ladybank are both good for connecting trains. Cupar is well worth a visit and a return HOWEVER we use this area to stay to enable visits to the whole area and its coastline and even for day trips further North or Glasgow/ Edinburgh.
Easy access from all roads into Cupar. Easy to find. Owner arranged for key to be available for arrival. On-road parking outside, charges apply only 8.30 - 17.30, and free parking during day in nearby street. Owner lives offsite, but contact tel. no. provided. No cooking facilities, but decent cafe next to property. Town centre less than 5 mins walk. Good, but quite small, pub restauranr 2 mins away. Room may be a bit small for some, but ideal for me......comfortable bed, TV, plenty of hot water, good CH radiators.
Pauline and Bob were excellent hosts and made us feel very welcome. Brae Cottage is very conveniently located in the centre of Cupar and has been beautifully modernised. We particularly loved the luxury en-suite bathroom! No hesitation in recommending this B&B.
Beautiful furnishings in perhaps the best location in Cupar. Wonderful attention to detail and the extras such fruit, milk and freshly baked bread left for our arrival. Beth answered the phone anytime we required info. Can't rate highly enough.
What a fantastic flat. It is very spacious and comfortable. Right in the centre of Cupar. The kitchen was very well equipped even a dishwasher. Great living room with smart tv and board games. Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable.
Excellent, it is like a boutique hotel. Very comfortable, very well decorated, you can feel like you are sleeping in the paradise. The owner is very friendly, paying attention to all the details, taking care of the gests.
Very quiet - up a farm track but v easy access to main road and Cupar. Great base for exploring the East Neuk. St Andrews etc. surrounded by countryside and wildlife. Lovely breakfast, comfortable rooms and very restful.
Excellent B&B on the edge of Cupar, very well run with meticulous attention to detail, great value for money, spotlessly clean with excellent facilities, Lovely cooked breakfast, nice views to the rear.
The location is great, really close to St. Andrews or other places in Fife. The place was very clean indeed and nice a roomy. The hosts were helpful and contacting back and forth was simple and smooth.
Location was great for visiting Dundee, perth and Cupar. Kitchen was a lovely room to sit and eat and chat in. Lots of games for the family to play as well. Quiet area and lovely garden to sit in.
The location was very convenient, close to the main streets in Cupar. The apartment was very comfortable, nice and warm as the weather wasn't great for May.
