A gem of a city, and a secret that now the people of Edinburgh are cottoning onto. It's got a beautiful Heritage Quarter with loads of trendy bars, cafes and restaurants. Fantastic old buildings, a huge amount of history and one of the most beautiful parks in the world - Pittencrieff Park - is glorious. It really is like a mini-Edinburgh without the fuss and crowds, and such a lovely place to hang out.

We travelled to visit Knockhill Racing Circuit for a booked experience day.
Arrived on a lovely sunny day so decided to visit Pittencrief park on our way to the hotel (Adamson Hotel in crossford) where we had a great walk around the park and encountered many of the beautiful sights including the squirrels.
All in all a wonderful visit and we will definitely be back at some point in the (hopefully not too distant) future

the town is compact and the centre has all the shops you might need and plenty of places to eat
there is a lot of history to the place and if youve never been there is plenty to take in
road access is good from the m90 and parking is easy
its also just a short train journey to either Glasgow or Edinburgh
We would really like to start our review by mentioning the staff, as they were friendly and accommodating.
There were plenty of parking spaces.
The hotel decor was lovely especially at the entrance.
Our room was roasting hot, the bed was really high and comfortable.
The room appeared clean and tidy when we initially entered the room.
We appreciated the late morning check out.
We would have loved to have stayed longer but we had booked it for one night when we came to see Skerryvore play live in Dunfermline.
The hotel was spotless, the staff were so friendly and helpful especially Anna who’s meet and greet at breakfast made us feel valued. The breakfast was lovely, loads to choose from, our room was big, airy & spotless with a good size en-suite also spotless. Lovely location, we got the train into Edinburgh from Dunfermline where we could park and ride which was brilliant. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.
The whole stay went well. the room was very comfortable, the toilet / shower area surpassed expectations; the bed was very comfortable. Some amazing views of old Dunfermline and as far as the River Forth from the room. No problems with noise, which was a pleasant surprise give the city centre location. Bar staff very friendly.
The courtesy and professional manner the staff carried out their duties.
Rooms well appointed and comfortable
Good selection at breakfast
Hotel set amongst well attended gardens and only 10 mins walk into Dunfermline City and 10 mins walk to railway station which will take you into Edinburgh in 35 mins.
Absolute fantastic wee hotel. Brent the owner went above and beyond for us. Rooms were spotless. Best hotel bed I have slept in, in a while! Bathroom modern. The hotel has a lovely warm charm to it. And it's quiet!!! All on ground floor so will come back with my elderly grandparents at some point.
Room was large, airy and clean. Hotel messaged ahead of check in offering to accommodate later check ins if necessary. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room were a nice touch. Staff in the morning were lovely and upbeat. Great setting - beautiful area to visit! Can’t wait to come back!
The whole hotel is spotless. Breakfast was delicious. Mattress and pillows were very comfortable.. Set in a peaceful location but in walking distance of the train station for Edinburgh and a short car ride to Dunfermline. We had a wonderful couple of nights and will return next year.
First class hotel in every respect and great to see at least some hotels are back to full working practices after Covid. To every other hotel out there who is still using tired old excuses for laziness take a look at the Holiday Inn Express Dunfermline for what you should be doing
We liked that the hotel was just outside the town centre, as we wanted a nice place to just chill out and relax, where the hotel is located there is still plenty of things to do around the hotel there were lots of places to eat.
Great location in the centre of Dunfermline, close to all amenities. Has a lively bar in the hotel at weekends which had a friendly atmosphere. Breakfast was the usual fare and acceptably good. Staff overall were excellent.
Booked here for my daughters dance weekend. The coorie is a little hidden gem. Easy enough to get from Dunfermline city centre by bus 6 stops right outside. Staff are lovely and the family room was amazing. We will be back!
I liked that the hotel was close to the airport and sites that we could visit. It was also close to restaurants which made it good to get some good food when needed.
