We can’t recommend the property high enough and the care from the owners is first class!!!!?

There is not much to do in Kinross.
There is not much to do in Kinross. We went to the lake and wanted to visit the castle but it was closed due to a private event.
Some shops are closed or are closing in the town.
The small jetty looks abandoned and run down. It might have been nice to walk or cycle around the loch. However, for us 1 day was sufficient time.
We really liked the small cafe Reminisce. Lovely team.

It's a small town but it has everything.
It's a small town but it has everything. Loch Leven is a gem and the surrounding countryside very beautiful. The drives to Perth and Scone Palace as well as to Stirling are gorgeous. It's within half and hour of Edinborough and 45 minutes of Glasgow.
We ate at our hotel, the Kirklands which has a great restaurant so can't say anything about the other places.

The hotel owner told me it would be too late to come, so she said she will cancel my booking.
But when I go on the website, I was not allowed to cancel or get any refund!!!
Horrible and unfair!
I would want other people to see this and never book with this hotel!
Everything about the house, stunning decor, exceptionally clean & great location, for St Andrews, Dunfermline, Perth etc...
Many thanks again to Elaine for contacting us during our stay to make sure everything was ok for us.
Also for her lovely welcome pack of Borders cookies 🍪 and tablet 😋 they went down a treat with a nice cuppa on our arrival. Not forgetting the georgous carnations. Sooo thoughtful would thoroughly recommend this house to anyone wishing to visit Kinross and surrounding areas in the future. 😊
The family apartment is absoluterly exceptional for a hotel. You can put the kids to bed and chill in a very warm and cosy living room. The lovely town of Kinross is only 45 minutes drive from Edinburgh, and 45 minutes to Stirling, perfect stopover if you are planning to visit both places in turn, and also enjoy the lovely local views. We had an exceptionally tasty dinner on our first night and tasty and generous breakfast on both mornings. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming.
Location is great for working/visiting Knockhill race track. Breakfast at the hotel was amazing. We arrived late after the restaraunt had stopped serving so we went to the local chippy and the staff at the hotel were fantastic, giving us some plates and a table in the now empty restaraunt for us to eat our food. Also in the room the TV was Freesat, nice to watch a decent sized screen in HD after a long day of work.
As this was my first trip alone to Scotland for a family wedding I liked the security at the property and knowing I could contact Gerry if I needed to. The location was central in Kinross so good access to local amenities and buses. Gerry provided very useful information prior to and during my stay and was a kind, hospitable host. The accommodation was very comfortable and homely and I felt very welcome.
Wow...luxury 5 star apartment in the heart of tranquil Kinross. Exquisite furnishings and highest quality finishings throughout the property. Bedrooms in particular were quite stunning worthy of any top end boutique hotel.
The welcome pack and communication also first class. We will definitely return to the wonderful Kinross Reaidence in the future.
Very friendly and welcoming staff; fantastic breakfast with a really good selection of items; comfortable and attractive room. The hotel is central in Kinross which is a lively small town which has kept its identity.
Spacious self-contained apartment with a very nice welcome hamper from welcoming hosts.
Perfectly located for exploring Clackmannanshire as well as Kinross and Perth. Quiet, yet within easy reach of the motorway.
Beautiful location overlooking the Loch. Plenty of trails close by for hiking and running. The cabin was spacious, clean and well stocked! We highly recommend it for families!
Nice scent on entry. Clean. Bed comfortable. Great smart TV with loads of streaming channels. Like staying in a lovely hotel but more spacious, privacy and good facilities.
